NewHouse R&D has developed a family of panelized, decagonal buildings
which we call DecaDomes.
Easy assembly and disassembly, low cost and great strength make
DecaDomes ideal for temporary housing, storage, field hospitals, cabins
or remote work sites.
DecaDomes can assemble in about an hour on flat ground, by 2-3 people
with a step ladder and a screwdriver. Units can be dis-assembled by one
person in half the time.
Identical, lightweight panels make assembly easy, reducing precious time
and resources in emergency situations.
Numerous skin, core and panel combinations can be used to increase
insulation, puncture and flame resistance, camouflage, etc.
Vertical walls optimize floor space and comfort.
High performance crystalline geometry gives units great strength.
Aerodynamic design provides stability even in high winds.
Production-friendly design easily permits size variation with minimal
